A large upright heirloom looseleaf lettuce with a balanced centre, a fantastic lettuce for cold frames, hoop houses and greenhouses. Grand Rapids TBR is tolerant of partial shade, resistant to most pests and holds off well from bolting in the spring. Hardy up to zone 2 and best sown April-June in the field and anytime with some shelter and heat.
